Stove kettle: which brand? Is Le Creuset worth it?

Been wanting a LC stove kettle for years but the reviews are very disappointing. Does anyone have it and is it worth it?
Any other nice brand to recommend? I’d like a pretty one and don’t mind spending up to £100

LC now tend to not make things in France any more and perhaps the outsourcing has led to drop in quality control which is a shame considering they are still chart premium prices!

because of this we tend to get out LC stuff from charity shop/ other 2nd hand places for the proper made in France stuff that genuinely lasts.

I’ve got a lovely green LC kettle. It doesn’t take too long to boil on my gas hob and haven’t noticed any chips or problems yet. The only thing that is odd is that the fill line is on the outside not the inside so it’s a bit of a guess as to how much water to use!

We had an IKEA Vattentat kettle when we were in the US. Seems to be available in Europe but not sure if you can get them in the UK.

@Iheartmysmart how long have you had it for? I was reading that it is supposed to be emptied and dried after every use, could that be why so many people have rust?

A couple of years now @MixedFamily and it’s utterly neglected! I hand wash it properly once a week to keep it clean and descale it probably once a month. Other than that I don’t do anything different than I did with my electric kettle.

Think I saw an LC one on tkmaxx recently possibly orange coloured. Not sure how it compares price wise to buying direct.
