Don't they live together anymore?

OP posts:

Many people do this. My mother posts a big thing with a ton of pictures for mine every year even though I always spend the whole day with her.

It's nothing to read into really. Just bog standard normal social media use.

TheBunyip · 09/01/2025 10:29

Can you imagine the furore, theories and conjecture if he didn’t? Poor fella. Damned if he does, damned if he doesn’t

CatsndtheBear · 09/01/2025 10:29

Seems like a bit of a petty thing to criticise considering more people do this than not.
They are people, after all.

pilates · 09/01/2025 10:30

It seems a very popular thing to do nowadays. Also I imagine he wants to acknowledge what she has been through the last year.

FiveTreeHill · 09/01/2025 10:30

Because it makes his wife happy? I won't get so invested in other people's social media use tbh

Wavescrashingonthebeach · 09/01/2025 10:31

Literally every single couple in the public eye on social media does this. They get crucified on the media if they don't.
It must be amazing to have so little going on in your life that you've got time to care about stuff like this 😂

TheHeadOfTheHouse · 09/01/2025 10:34

I don’t understand it either, same with wishing your 1 year old a happy birthday on there. As if they’re going to read it!

it’s all for the likes and comments.

social media crap

🤣

Didimum · 09/01/2025 10:34

They're just being celebratory? No doubt you wanted some sort of negative discussion on 'performative' relationships. Why does it matter to you?

TheoriginalMrsDarcy · 09/01/2025 10:35

I wish my daughter happy birthday and she lives with me too, given she's underaged.

I say it to her in person when she wakes up.as well.

Am I not supposed to do that either? Is there some sort of social guidelines/etiquette that says i shouldn't?

Let people post what they want on their social media platform.

crumpet · 09/01/2025 10:37

It’s a nonsense, but he won’t win either way. If he didn’t, there would be accusations of him ignoring her birthday, and the OP’s question would be asked then too!

Wendysfriend · 09/01/2025 10:38

There's some things I think it's just nice to make a post about like birthdays, anniversaries etc it's the ones that are out with their partners having a meal and they tag them with pictures of every dish saying how 'Yum' it is 🤮 makes me roll my eyes so far back 🙄 just put down your phone and speak to the person opposite you

Hazeby · 09/01/2025 10:50

Just convention isn’t it. Most of the Royal Family have their birthdays acknowledged by the other family members on social media.
