Anyone used a she-wee?

Nc for this but long term poster - MN can verify etc.

Since having my youngest child (and probably just getting older generally) I, like many other women, need to pee. A lot. Mornings are the worst especially if I dare to have a cup of tea or coffee which I never do if I have to travel somewhere or have a work meeting. But I still have to pee a lot regardless.

I have a 10 year old son who plays football competitively and this means a lot of early starts and long drives to clubs which mostly do have toilet facilities, but many are just fields in the middle of nowhere. I find the anxiety and uncertainty of the toilet availability along with the travel makes me need to go more. On many occasions I've had to drop him off and frantically drive around looking for a supermarket or McDonald's in an unfamiliar town which is very stressful.

So I was trying to think of other options. Considered a camping toilet but where would you actually put it to go? The car park? Not very discreet. Considered also a she wee but again, you'd have to find somewhere to use it. And I don't understand how you'd be able to use it without pulling your pants and trousers down a fair bit. Are they worth having for someone in my situation? Any tips appreciated.

You can get walking trousers that have a zip in the crotch for wild weeing.

I had one in my 20s and always got tons of piss down my legs whenever I used it. But maybe the flow was just too strong then!

I'd be worried about kids catching sight of you doing weird stuff with your fanny in a car/bush, you'd never live it down!

Following as I am the same.. generally need to wee every hour and more often if out which does cause me issues and anxiety.
I did buy a she wee years ago but found it too difficult and not very discreet.
I just end up looking for somewhere to squat quickly if out on a walk ect or driving around looking for a loo even if it's only been a half hour since I left the house!
It doesn't seem to matter if I restrict liquid intake either...I will still need to go.
My cousin was the same and after childbirth she had an operation to stretch her bladder as it was small and has been 'normal' since.
I think I must have a small bladder that's overactive.
I did try the tablets to calm it down but they didn't help either.
Now I just plan journeys so I know where a toilet will be beforehand.

I have used a shewee and like everyone suggested, I practiced in the shower first. I do long hikes so the main problem for me is that after I have done my first wee and put the shewee away in a plastic bag, I find it is not clean enough to get out for a second wee.

Large tupperware box with a lid and a coat to go over your lap?

There is an app for Android (maybe Apple too) called 'Where is Public Toilet' that shows all the toilets where you are, with various information on accessibility.

Put a potty in car boot. Wear full skirt but no pants.

If you need to wee put potty on car seat, sit on it ensuring skirt covers all, pee away then pour pee onto grass and rinse out with bottle of top water also in boot.

If anyone sees you sitting there that's all they'll see.

I agree with others, have you seen your GP yet? Stress incontinence and being so desperate for a wee like you describe is NOT a normal part of aging! You might have a partial prolapse, need a pessary ring or pelvic physio.

I tried a she-pee at Glastonbury many years ago, but didn't watch how to use it properly! I found it took ages to start to wee, because its just such a different feeling to try doing it standing up. I also managed to point the funnel part downwards- so it all went into my jeans!

I'm unsure how a she-pee would solve your issues though, as surely finding a bush you could use the thing in, would be no different to finding bushes to squat in?

bought one, tried it in the bath a few times.
either chucked it or it's relegated to a cupboard somewhere.

Fortunately the phase of needing to wee urgently has passed.

@ Ladybird.
My D has issues similar to yours, actually caused by injury during spinal surgery.
She has improved alot enduring weekly perineal physio therapy. & latterly has a TENS machine which she is supposed to attach to her leg 20 mins a day. ( unfortunately she isn't very assiduous as cant find the time to have her leg up & stay immobile for that long) This was prescribed by an Urology professor in a big hospital (France)
She says the TENS seems to help.
You might want to investigate this ?

Also, Google "portable toilet for car".
