New years eve often feels a bit weird, then New years day felt odd today and I just feel quite down, out of nowhere.

Anyone the same?

I feel today has been so long!
I was back to work on boxing day so not much of a Xmas break for me but I just feel like the period between Xmas day and beginning of January is just weird.

Hopefully the shops start getting a little less busy now altho they will be empty of stock for a bit now til the spring / summer ranges start appear.

It's gonna be a long, hard few months I think...

The time between Boxing Day and new year always feels like a long stretch of Sundays.

When I was a kid it was great to play with new toys, as a teenager I would see my friends. In my 20's lots of time in the pub & sleeping. With young children it was fun but exhausting. This year just me & DH was quiet but relaxing. Read books watched some films & grazed on all the leftovers.

I am eager to get the decorations down & do a deep clean. I retired at Christmas so enthusiastic to get on with stuff I never had time (or energy) for while working.

I have seasonal depression and I find this time of year very difficult, especially the bit between Christmas and New Year. It's horrible for my adult middle DS as well, he's really struggled this year, bless him.

I'm back to work tomorrow and I'm glad of the return to routine. I think DS is too.

Roll on February and the promise of spring is all I can say.
