I want to feel confident and love myself

Hii everyone,
I'll get straight to the point😅
I've been struggling with a lot of self-doubt, anxiety, and a lack of self-love recently. It’s like I’m constantly battling myself, feeling like I’m not enough, no matter what I do. Everything feel overwhelming, and I just can’t seem to get a grip on it.

I look at myself and can’t help but feel like I’m falling short compared to everyone else. It’s hard to love myself and I feel like it's destroying relationships I have..

If anyone has advice on how to start building confidence or just how to accept myself, I’d really appreciate it.

You mention this started recently - were you happy and confident previously? If so what caused this change?

The first thing you need to do is stop comparing yourself to other people! Second thing you need to do is stay off SM (as this also results in comparing yourself to others).

Start by liking yourself. Are you an ok person or do you lie/cheat/steal/hurt other people? If you're an ok person then what's not to like? If you lie/cheat/steal/hurt other people then change your ways and start being someone likeable!

Have a think back to your childhood - often low self esteem stems from there. What led to you not feeling good enough? Parents? Bullies? 'Friends'? Teachers? How can you rewrite the messages you got through your childhood? You were a child, of course you made mistakes, of course you weren't brilliant at everything and of course you were good enough.

Start writing a list of good things about yourself, good qualities, things you enjoy, things you're good at, things you love and keep adding to it. Every time you start to feel down remind yourself of all those things.

Can you tell us more about your life? Is this really a new thing? If so, what has changed?

What was your childhood like? Are you in a relationship right now? What’s that like?

Can you afford counselling?
