Name to go with Seren.

Our daughter is called Seren (pronounced like seven but with an R) and we are due a baby boy next May.
Me and my partner can't agree on a name yet. He likes Rowan, I like Kit and the only one we have found a mutual ground on is Renley.

Seren and Renley.
I like that both have the 'ren'

Thoughts?

Has anyone got a Seren with siblings and if so what are their names?

I have a cousin called Ruairidh pronounced Ruary like Rory. Think its a lovely unusual name.

Never heard of Renley before. If I heard it, I might assume it was Wrenley (or Wren - Leigh) and a girls name (sorry).

Yes it's unisex so Wrenley is for a girl, Renley or Renly is a boy. I am only familiar with it from GOT who is male.

Odhran
Rohan
Ruairidh/Ruari or alternatively Rory (I know a PP mentioned this being uncommon but it's a really common name in Scotland)
Renley is a name I've never heard of so I'm unsure if my suggestions are way off to be honest!
Could potentially do Ronnie? Or even just Renn. (Imo too close to Seren) but you might like it)

Seren and Rowan sounds lovely together imo( my DS is 27)
Elliot
Adam
Finn/ Finley
Beckett

When I was pregnant with second baby I would say the two names together to see how it sounded. Saying "seren and Renley" is kind of odd, it blurs together IMO, I think they're too similar.

Rowan is lovely. Not keen on Kit unless it’s for a pet.
Renley is awful imo.

I know people with Sennen (similar ish?) who have a Jago and a Lowen. All Cornish.

TheEllisGreyMethod · 29/12/2024 16:22

I really don't like renley.
I would go macsen with seren.
Rory would also go well
