Roast dinner on Sunday - AIBU?

Going round to see friends on Sunday. We offered to cook/bring food or just order a takeaway. Friends asked us to bring some alcohol (bottle of spirits and some beers) which we are happy to do.

then they said they’re cooking us … a lovely roast dinner. All we’ve eaten all week is bloody roast dinner. AIBU to not want a roast dinner again less than a week after Christmas ?

Oh be grateful that you have friends who have invited you around and are cooking for you. You are blessed. Enjoy it!

I'd not be fussy if someone else is cooking. How nice of them to cook.

Alconleigh · 27/12/2024 12:44

I'd happily have roast every day!

I wouldn't want to make one again, but I'd easily eat one again! Enjoy it!

I'll probably do a roast dinner on Sunday...it's the only time my daughter eats enough food as she is soo picky

Runningoutofthyme · 27/12/2024 12:46

yabu

You have today & tomorrow to not eat anything remotely roast dinner related

Screamingabdabz · 27/12/2024 12:46

At this point I never want to see another roast dinner, glass of Baileys or chocolate in my life. 🤢 YANBU.

I only ate roast dinner on Wednesday and would happily eat another one on Sunday. Don't be so ungrateful. You don't have to cook which is always a win in my book.

pinotnow · 27/12/2024 16:17

Don't go then.

IDontLoveTheWayYouLie · 27/12/2024 16:20

Don't go if you don't want to eat it?
