To ask what to do with teens?

I had plans to go away now until new year but it's been cancelled. I'm rubbish at switching plans and go into apathy mode - just feel like I'm waiting to go back to work.
So, hive mind, inspire me (or make me feel comfortable with doing nothing but hibernate!) with your plans! I have 3 teen ds so it's not easy to a) get them off screens or b) do anything that doesn't cost!

All of mine are happy doing nothing. It's me who gets antsy and feels like I should be busy- but that's having a job that takes over my life and being unable to deal with down time.

Ds will hibernate.
Dd will see mates on and off.
Dh will veg.
I've had Xmas day and boxing day to do nothing. Now I want to go for a run, go to watch a film, find cheap panto tickets cos I didn't plan ahead, paint the bathroom, do some gardening, fix the shelves, go for a walk. All at once.
But instead, I'm sitting in the fog, eating cake and scrolling.

Yup, sounds like you're exactly like me! Feel like I should paint kitchen, do all the odd jobs I haven't had time for, read brain changing novels, learn a new skill, but instead I'm on here!!

So, just gathered the family and we have a plan in action including a plan to do nothing (don't laugh - now I know it's a do nothing day, I can relax that that's the plan ...think I need professional help...😁?

Thanks for the suggestions - beach trip was a hit idea so doing that this week now, a big walk that we've wanted to do for a while and a trip to ski centre to brush up skills before our holiday. In between I will eat cheese, read my new book and experiment with my new skin care products.

Sounds perfect, especially the cheese!

We've just got back from a few days away, today is just chill, tomorrow teenager is meeting her friends, the 29th we will go either ice skating or to an unlimited arcade, 30th her friends are sleeping over. 31st we will see my family/her cousins will be there so I won't see her.

You can absolutely do nothing but hibernate. I dont get why people need regimented fun or to fill up their schedules. It's so stressful and weird. What are these people running away from?

Perhaps ask your kids if there is anything they'd like to do now you have free time though - tell them they can suggest absolutely anything they like. They might come up with something creative and actually fun (rather than what I call "busy fun"). If they have no ideas, nothing wrong with resting and pottering.

It’s fine if your family is happy to hibernate. But OP wanted some ideas of nice things to do together. Lots of people want to spend this time having quality time and experiences together.

Most teens veg regularly throughout the term and so a few small activities with mum is nice over Christmas. Setting your child up to be active and present is a good thing. Lazing about constantly isn’t healthy in my mind and not a great example for the teens as the edge towards adulthood. But that’s just my view, of course we all have our own standards and opinions which is absolutely fine!
