Teenage girls are great

To complement the lovely thread about amazing teen boys.

Teen girls are kind, witty and brave. They can never take their personal safety for granted but that doesn't stop them getting out there, enjoying life and working hard to achieve their dreams whether it's in the workplace, on the sports field or in the home.

The courage it takes for a girl to go backpacking abroad - for example - is immense but they do it because they're determined to live a life undaunted.

It's lovely to hear a group of girls laughing uproariously. Getting ready for a night out - one might to go glam, another prefers combats and a hoodie - but off they'll go as a laughing gang, ready to have fun together and look out for each other.

I love how teenage girls have each other's backs. Checking in on each other to make sure they're OK with school/college work, their relationships, their worries and dreams. And woe betide the boy who messes with their friend's affections!

Mine have given me and continue to give me so many laughs, great conversations, fashion advice, make up tips, great days out shopping, thoughtful wonderful Christmas and birthday presents, and so much more. I could go on and on.

I teach secondary and I am a HOY. I absolutely love them but teen girls are wonderful. They really care about their friends. They really feel things, much more than we do as adults. They are so funny and interesting and clever. They have this incredible ability to forgive. They are bright and intense and brilliant.

The teen girls in my family are full of courage, intelligence and ambitions. Love them dearly.

Seriously? I read the other thread and thought it was nonsense and now we need a parallel set of nonsense about girls. Some people are great. Some are not. This applies to men and women, teenagers or not.

Thank you, I almost puked reading the OP.

My lovely and amazing daughter who is just back from Uni chose some old photos of her and her brother when they were little and then recreated them. She printed out the old and new photos and put them in an amazing book which she made herself. She spent literal hours doing all this while also studying for her Vet Med exams.
My husband and I are blown away and it's genuinely the best present we've ever had.
Shoutout to my teenage son who joined in but it was all my daughter's work and idea.

What are you on about?

I actually never even saw a teenage boy thread. And why would I “not dare” post on a thread as an anonymous username?
