Moving to the Camden/Islington border to be near DP’s parents for support/childcare etc.

Daughter aged 10.

Any opinions/recommendations?

@HeronO if it's mixed now it's probably totally different. It obviously glowed up since my day. So don't rule it out on my account. Lol
I'd say let her look at as many as possible. X

Thanks - definitely. When you have a look round you definitely get more of a feel for the place I think

Yes my DP just text me his old school’s apparently called Beacon High now - so - rebranding and everything! x

Holloway Boys is now called Beacon High and seems to have lots of options for kids that aren't very academic - alternative non-academic subjects and qualifications other than GCSEs. It also has a strong PE department (not been but had a look round).
Because there are strong girls-only schools, the mixed schools typically have more boys than girls.
I agree with others that you need to visit them to get a sense of what they are like and whether you think they'd suit your daughter.

Ah the Holloway/Beacon option sounds perfect for DD but will definitely look at others as well !
