To have gone massively over budget?

You may remember I started a thread where I aimed to spend £30 a month on food ?

Well I didn’t achieve that. Realistically it was more like £35-40 for about 17 days on all food /drink.

But some people might think this is still good?

However, I am INCLUDING my Nectar points and factoring in the approx cost of 2 sweet treats into the above

so some might say it’s quite good

Some people thought my thread wasn’t genuine. Well it was, but I fully admit I didn’t manage to stick to it.

However - since Friday 29th November I’ve had a massive backslide in spending

From November 29th to December 20th I’ve spent £190 on food.

Msy God have mercy upon my soul.

What I might like to add though is this -

in November I spent a total of

£10 on all fuel (no water charge)

£4.40 on travel costs (no car fuel bought)

I’ve started a new regime yesterday to reign in food spending once again

What is your AIBU? Why are you aiming to spend so little on food if it’s not sustainable? It has to be sustainable in order to work!

Are you quite alright?

Seems you were so strict you went the other way, I suggest you find a reasonable middle ground
