I wouldn't.

Radiatorvalves · 20/12/2024 18:55

I would! It’s not that warm in my kitchen!

Autumn1990 · 20/12/2024 18:56

I would my kitchen is baltic

nellythe · 20/12/2024 18:56

I would and I bet it’ll taste absolutely magnificent after sitting for a while too 😍I’d just make sure it was piping hot

HermioneWeasley · 20/12/2024 18:57

I wouldn’t unless your kitchen is the temperature of a fridge

Jk987 · 20/12/2024 18:57

Yes, just heat it up so it's steaming hot.

Maboscelar · 20/12/2024 18:58

I would. And have. And I'm not dead.

MaterCogitaVera · 20/12/2024 19:00

There’s only a small probability it’ll make you ill - but if it does, you will be very ill. Depends on whether you want to risk that, even if it’s only a very small risk.

mamas12 · 20/12/2024 19:13

Oh well I’ve started eating it now as the consensus was more yes than no
so I hope we don’t fall into the small chance of getting very ill - what dies that mean? I’m anxious now

Hope you're ok, op. I would have thrown it away.

DataPup · 20/12/2024 19:21

We often leave bolognese or chilli in the pot overnight in winter and eat it the next evening. Never been ill in over a decade of doing it.

Retrogamer · 20/12/2024 19:24

My dh did this and got very sick several hours later.
He didn't heat it up properly though, just warmed it so i think that would have been the problem there

mamas12 · 20/12/2024 19:26

Thank you everyone fine so far will let you know

Jabbabong · 20/12/2024 19:29

Yes probably in the winter unless you have your heating on full blast. Not in the summer though.

AlbertCamusflage · 20/12/2024 19:34

I would do this without thinking twice. Never got ill from it. Just make sure you reheat properly.

Thighdentitycrisis · 20/12/2024 19:41

Yep. Do it all the time

RosemaryRabbit · 20/12/2024 19:54

I would eat it. Make sure to reheat it very thoroughly (we say "nuke it" at our house) and tuck in. Lots of saucy things like bolegnaise, chilli, casserole, cassoulets are even nicer reheated. Add a bit of water if it dries up on the reheat.

NeedSomeComfy · 20/12/2024 19:55

Are you using "spaghetti bolognaise" as a verb in the title?! Made me smile.
I'd eat it by the way.

I'm imagining it as a dance. A bit like the conga probably.

Cyclingmummy1 · 20/12/2024 19:59

It'll taste amazing! We'd eat it. Never been ill yet.

Scutterbug · 20/12/2024 20:47

I’ve done that loads of times. You just need to reheat thoroughly.

Totally normal thing to do iny house too but I've noticed that MN has a high demographic of posters who think they'll die if they eat something at 12.05am the day after the best before date 😁

Haha just noticed I didn’t put ‘eat’ in there it did taste amazing
so far ok 3 hours later🤞

I happily leave it 24 hours on the stove top and then eat. Tastes better the day after.

TheLemonFatball · 20/12/2024 22:18

Depends on your stomach. My parents never refrigerate any leftovers. Always left in the pot or the side. My mam has been known to go medieval on a countertop chicken carcass four days on the bounce.
