My son's dad watched him this evening. Said DS was playing with toys when he turned round and noticed blood on his hand I got home from my evening course and checked my son(I live with parents so they pit DS to bed this evening) DS hand is FULL of blood! There's a blood patch on my bed from him and his had. Has all dried blood on it and it quite clearly is NOT a small cut! It has clotted and stopped bleeding now but if tomorrow it starts again I'll be going right to a&e!
Am I being too harsh on the ex like he says I am being or am I right in what I'm saying!? It was 2 hours and he wasn't watching a crawling 10 months old baby?!!!!!????? WHAT PLANET DOES HE LIVE ON!

He may have not done anything wrong at all. E.g My 5 year old walked out the bathroom the other day and suddenly shrieked he'd hurt himself and his toe was bleeding. We're completely stumped as to how he did it. Nothing on the floor. It had been hoovered a few hours previously. Can't feel anything sharp on the carpet. Sometimes these thing just happen.

Little cuts can bleed a lot on babies. Hopefully it will heal quickly.

Calm down! Wake him up and give it a proper clean, a little bit of blood can go a long way and makes it look worse than it is.

Unless his hand falls off, you don't need A&E, a plaster will be fine if its still bleeding.

Good luck for when he's walking and falling over every 2 minutes.....

Please don't take your child to A&E for a small cut on his hand.

Jeez give it a proper clean with antiseptic and cover it up/make sure it doesn’t need medical attention.

These things happen.

However his dad should know WHAT happened in order to not do it again. I'd be raging if he couldn't explain it. That much blood should mean an obvious explanation.
