I love Christmas but got a new diary today and started thinking towards the year ahead. We are going Skiing straight after Christmas and a few days in Spain in May...but I've been thinking all day of what else we might do...

Anyone made any plans yet and like to share?

Where's warm end of March, but not long flight, Canaries/Lanzarote? Booked Cornwall in June.

Depends how warm you want it. I’ve been a few times early April and it’s been 22/23 ish. Nice enough for me. But windy last time though making it feel a bit cooler.

bluesky · 18/12/2024 17:59

Thanks @nindo

Thanks @nindo

Found Tenerife/Gran Canaria a bit warmer and certainly less windy.

Summergarden · 18/12/2024 18:33

April- Belgium Centerparcs
May-Leeds city break
July- Scandinavia cruise
Aug- Lake District cottage
Oct- Disneyland Paris
Aug 26- Med cruise

You mean not everyone books their holidays 2 years in advance?
Only kidding. I realise we are very privileged to be able to do this and happily drive a bashed up old banger of a car etc to prioritise holidays.

whoputallofthatthere · 18/12/2024 18:48

I'm going to La Palma in September, and have booked a couple of nights in London in June. Also thinking about spending a few nights in Chester in the spring, but nothing booked yet. So nice to read about everyone's plans!

rookiemere · 18/12/2024 19:02

January - Ladies ski trip
March - Costa Rica ( using free BA flights from companion voucher and avios points)
June - Sardinia ( again free BA flights)
Aug - Ludlow with extended family
Nov - Morocco booked so far in advance so it's cheap - will only lose deposit if we cancel

fussychica · 18/12/2024 19:03

Not much booked just
Fuerteventura end of Jan. Currently in Lanzarote and I can't lie the weather has been very up and down this year including 2 days when we couldn't go out due to dust storms! Been dozens of times and never had it as bad. The heated pool of the villa has been covered for half the time. Home tomorrow.
Istanbul March
Spain 4 weeks in Sept/Oct
Planning a drive down to France/Germany for a few weeks in June

Twilightstarbright · 18/12/2024 19:08

@fussychica how disappointing! I was contemplating Lanzarote this time next year.

Serenity45 · 18/12/2024 19:08

Love getting trips booked in! These ones booked and paid for and will likely do a week away somewhere else and maybe a few long weekend breaks too.

Jan - week in North Wales also 4 day spa break

Feb - 4 days in Manchester

March - 5 days in York, 2 weeks in Ireland

June - 4 days in Budapest

August - a week in Ireland (inc family wedding)

September - 3 weeks road trip to Canadian Rockies inc Vancouver Banff Jasper etc

November- 5 days in Berlin

I have close family in Ireland so nip over when I can as I stay with them and flights are cheap. Or I jump in with family getting ferry if taking dogs

G5000 · 18/12/2024 19:08

Already booked:
New Years in Thailand.
Feb - Abu Dhabi
March - Estonia
June - Spain
July - France
August - Latvia
October - Greece.

Planning Costa Rica for Feb 26

RaraRachael · 18/12/2024 19:12

We did Lanzarote one Easter. It was about 24 degrees but SO windy we couldn't even sit by the pool.

We are going to New York at the end of January and Croatia in April.
Doing the Wild Atlantic Way in Ireland in June (Connemara as far as Dingle). That’s as far as we’ve got so far!

We did the wild Atlantic way this summer. DO NOT leave out the Aran Islands 😍😍😍😍😍

Soccermumamir · 18/12/2024 19:14

We're going to Palma, Majorca in August.

Hi @Sockmate123 i booked our family holiday to Jamaica 2 days ago as TUI had an early access sale . We will be going in June 2025, also booked Devon weekend break in September 2025.

Im waiting for the EasyJet sale so I can book a girls break in Spain in August and plan to book Porto in July with a friend.

The best holiday deals are just before and after Christmas .

Cornflakelover · 22/12/2024 14:10

Not booked but definitely going
3 weeks in Lanzarote in Feb
2 weeks in Turkey end of May
both of these are definite

then probably 10 days in Oct so possibly canaries or Egypt
