Leftover wine... nope, sorry, none of that here. Come to think of it, dregs in glasses are pretty rare things too. As for cooking wine, well, if it is chilled to the point of forming ice crystals it's actually fairly drinkable or in an emergency a dash of lemonade or tonic sorts out most problems. So what if you accidently put a wine ice-cube in your gin and tonic? That would spoil both the gin and the wine.
Or your children popped them in their juice on a hot day? Safer to just finish the bottle.
