To give postman/milkman etc gifts?

I gave binmen today some beers and have left a tub of sweets out for the milkman in the morning.

Do other people do this? If so what do you gift? I want to give something to the postman too...maybe scratch cards or something??

I leave a box in the porch with drinks and Kit Kats in that says delivery drivers, help yourself to a treat, thanks for all you do. That goes down very well.

My binmen are pretty good at bringing my bin close to my gate for me, so I do try to tip them even though the crews change.
