To want a fringe with a square face?

OK, not the most pressing question of the day, but...
I have long hair. After years of avoiding having a fringe because of my square jawline, I am fed up of having hair in my eyes or wearing a band.
I would love to have my hair down fully more. I have a face for radio, the only pretty thing I have is my hair.

Anybody else rocking a fringe with a square jawline?

I do, it looks loads better than no fringe.

I’ve had all sorts of fringes but curtain bangs are probably the best ones.

@friendconcern yes, I think curtains might be the way to go.

Try curtains first, you can always go shorter but not the other way round! Despite the horror stories, it doesn't take that long to grow out a fringe if you hate it. You just add some layers into the rest and it's not noticeable within a year

Btw though, I find curtains the worst of both. Too short to tie up and just the length to get in your mouth

True, and my hair does grow quickly.

The longest part of my fringe comes to my cheekbones. If I wear my hair up that’s when it comes into its own because it frames my face and sort of offsets my square jawline.

I imagine you must have long hair if a fringe goes in your mouth, my ‘no fringe’ hair sounds only marginally longer than your actual fringe!

(the word fringe is starting to look a bit weird now that I’ve written it so many times!)

I'm square jawed and have had a fringe since childhood, as it suits me better. I'd love not to have one. I've tried going without, but I look abysmal. Mine's soft, not heavy.

Give it a go.

I think softer might work. The fringe I had as a kid just made me look like Kryten. Another kid said once, 'I have never seen anyone with a square head before'.

Mine goes between fade and shoulder length, so I spend a lot of time at the annoying not long enough to tie up stage - long enough to be annoying stage, with all sorts of peculiar fringes, depending on how indecisive I am about the next style. I gave up on lipgloss a long time ago!
