Tesco recalls 300g packs of Tesco Red Cabbage & Apple

just fyi, it seems red cabbage is popular on here

The supermarket has recalled its 300g packs of Tesco Red Cabbage & Apple due to an error on the packaging.
Affected packs incorrectly show a use by date of December 29 December, instead of the correct December 11.

Consuming the product past its shelf life poses a potential health risk, with the supermarket urging customers not to eat it.

Return to store, no receipt required

Surely it would be obvious if it was too bad to eat. Don't listen to sell by dates tbh, I go by look/smell!

For anybody who doesn’t want to have to do a trip to Tesco, this freezes really well.

Edited

If that were true, people wouldn’t get food poisoning. I eat food past the use by date, but it isn’t obvious when food is harmful. Listeria in salad crops, for instance, isn’t detectable to the person eating it. Potato and rice salads are notorious for food poisoning but the people who get this aren’t wilfully eating foods that taste or smell bad. Mould doesn’t always show or taste until it’s quite developed
