hi, asking for abit of advice, about 10years ago somebody made a malicious phone call to social services saying my children were being abused, they came out and did there assessment and confirmed it had been a malicious call. now I was told the caller was a male and that he knew all of our d.o.b. 10 years later I am being called a liar so I am wondering if any one knows if there is any proof I can obtain to proof a phone call was made? its literally splitting my family up and the person who I think it is is turning my family against me calling me a liar.

Social services should have completed a written report. Was this not provided to you? They won't revealed the identity of the caller though

Honestly they don't sound like a good family if they are turning on you like this

un sure how to reply, hope I do it right as I have only just joined. like I said this was around 10 years ago but that person I accused has recently brought it up saying I'm a liar, I don't care who rung them I tried to forget about it I just wanted to see if I can get proof from somewhere that that call was made x

I did this once. It was so heavily redacted it made it useless.

CandyCaneSpoon · 06/12/2024 22:56

Yes they can give you that info and in my case they actually DID tell me who called

Ten years is recent enough for comprehensive electronic records, the referrals are recorded as is the outcome. Contact your local MASH they will be able to tell you the process for accessing information held about your child. Third party info is redacted but you should still be able have enough to have proof (for example, a record of the discussion with you about the referral and the decision to close the referral down)

thank you everyone

I would do as others have said above and try to get the records and hope it hasn't been redacted.
But in the meantime just tell the person you found out how to get the records sent to you with all the information on. So you will know soon enough either way .
See if they admit to it if they know you will find out .
And if they don't then maybe it wasn't who you thought it was
Either way I would probably limit contact with that person
