6ft Asda slimline tree £30 only bought one this year as my cat smashed the one I had for the last ten years so not that bad , back in the 80s i got a real tree it shed pine needles everywhere and I was hoovering them up for months (thick sculptured carpet) never again

Only three more years till we break even on our beautiful Balsam Hill tree! 😂 or possibly less taking inflation into account! £300 on Black Friday 7 years ago and we were paying £30 a time at the rotary club Christmas tree sale before that.

The signs say profits go to the local scout group, but presumably that means a portion of them, not all of them.

We've got a real tree. It is 7 feet tall and cost £98. We're in London.

Current one is a fake one from Gumtree for £15 about 5 years ago which we got instead of a real one as only had underlay down one Christmas with the carpet arriving after Christmas so didn’t want needles in the underlay.

In the Netherlands, where a 7-8 ft tree costs 30 euros. They grow them here and we get ours straight from the farm. I see tractors laden with trees on my way to work every day at the moment.
They'll stick Christmas trees anywhere here. Any scrappy bit of land, odd-shaped, a sloping corner of a field, they'll plant Christmas trees. Or pumpkins.
Sheep appear in random places too, as long as there's grass and you can fence it.

M&S 7foot real look tree, £20 down from £120 8 years ago in the boxing day sales as one of the branches was missing a screw. Replacement screw cost less than £1.

If you take it to the town square on the 20th day of Christmas my local authority will take it to use at the power station and give the kids a bag of sweets

We bought a laser cut wooden tree from etsy which might be an option worth considering. It works quite well as a stand for decorations and lights, and I don't miss trying to work out when is too early to buy a tree (because it will die before New Years) and when is too late (because all the good trees seem to disappear so early). I remember when I used to walk down to the High Street to get my mother her Christmas tree on something like the 22nd, but good luck finding a tree then nowadays.

London 5 ft. Artificial tree manufactured circa 1965. Inherited from grandparents. Basically a broomstick with wire branches and green plastic bristles. Used every year of my adult life. Still going strong!
