shoshe · 29/04/2008 20:26

cos he wont let me buy this house

Cos HE says its to remote, he wont be able to get a job there, and as my health is not great, its to far from a major hospital!!!!!!!

He has NO sense of adventure!

sidge wouldn't bother sweetie, it only has 5 bedrooms!!!

shoshe damn, my dh would crumble at that, will have to have a better think about how to fix this

shoshe · 29/04/2008 20:47

Aww Sidge wont he buy it for you, Pocket money?

OP posts:
Nappyzone · 29/04/2008 20:47

so come on where is it? North, south, wast , west, near teeside??

Hassled · 29/04/2008 20:48

Sidge, your DH is being very unreasonable. He's denying you the chance to have a blue glowing gym room.

sillyoldmoo · 29/04/2008 20:48

You could just go and have a look at it. No harm in that is there?

shoshe · 29/04/2008 20:50

No soph we are not, my point exactly!

But he says I can still drive at the mo so not a prob, what would I do when I cant!

He is just being difficult, That is what children are for, to look after you and ferry you around, when you cant

After all I'm sure DDIL can just pop back from Canada, to take me.

Its on scottish borders - we holidayed there last week - is gorgeous........ would make excellent holiday rental home ...

2 and an hr drive from me now though so out of my stomping ground but soooooooooo lovely.

shoshe · 29/04/2008 20:51

Nappy near Bewick upon Tweed, in the Scottish Borders.

My Family come from there, although there are none there now.

Sidge · 29/04/2008 20:51

Shoshe - he's so unreasonable (petulant pout) I mean it's loose change really isn't it dahling, 3/4 of a mil??

Dizzydixies - I know sweetie, I'm not sure 5 will be enough but I thought maybe we could look at this one too, it has a teeny tiny bit more space...

shoshe · 29/04/2008 20:55

Sige that one is lots better, you could have a huge meet up there, we could lounge around your pool drinkin pimms

We stayed at west ord - a morrisons just close by so we were made lol! Who needs major hospitals when you have a morrisons!

shoshe · 29/04/2008 21:00

He has found one here but it would mean living near MIL and we would need a mortgage.

Nah mine was better.

SquonkTheBeerGuru · 29/04/2008 21:01

shosh - when he says it's too remote, does he realise it's less than five miles to the nearest railway station?>

You could walk that if you had to!

pah! men!

Earthymama · 29/04/2008 21:01

I'm ROFL as our house would fit in bathroom of Glenwood!! I'm trying to be less materialistic and you lot are undermining my convictions!!

However I have no money so I'll fanatasise to my hearts' content!!

I want an Earth house built into the steep sides of the valley, with those light things that were on Grand Designs house, they are tubes that deliver light from the surface to underground rooms.

Mine would get covered by muck constantly and I'd be so p'd off, but in Rosyland they'd be self-cleanig!!

sophiewd · 29/04/2008 21:04

I am pretty sure that taxis have made it to Berwick

dizzydixies · 29/04/2008 21:05

sidge much prefer the lemon yellow house, you hold out for that one

Sidge · 29/04/2008 21:07

LOL OK will do, we can have a totally debauched Mumsnet meet up there and you can all play naked tennis and sip Pimms by the pool

Crunchie · 29/04/2008 21:07

I really want this house it is about 200 yrds from my house down a private lane. It just needs a bit of TLC a new kitchen and a good paint job.

Problem is my house has just got a new kitchen, new conservatory and is about to have a new bathroom. It is a bit smaller than the other one, so I reacon there is only £20 - £30k in it - BUT i then would have to pay £10 -£15 on costs

Not worth it really .

BUT I REALLY LIKE IT!!

dizzydixies · 29/04/2008 21:10

oh lord naked tennis

shoshe · 29/04/2008 21:11

Ok if it has to be town I want this one

OP posts:
Sidge · 29/04/2008 21:14

Nah, don't worry Dizzy, might take me a while to save up.

(And I've just eaten a whole bag of Doritos - the big ones! - so I need to tone up a bit first. Or buy Spanx. Do they do them in tennis whites?)

dizzydixies · 29/04/2008 21:15

shoshe sigh, suppose its ok but no garden and could you be arsed hoovering all those stairs?!?

sidge thats great, will need approx 5yrs notice for the nakedness

shoshe · 29/04/2008 21:15

just one bag?

[looks around at the debris on the floor]

If we were to not move very far I would like this house - lovely garden and would solve our secondary school problems. Sadly they are the reason we couldn't afford it!
