Mediterranean October cruise

Hi, just wondering if anyone has done an October ( will be 19th) med cruise before ?
Considering explorer - Greek/ Italy cruise August but the temperatures look really high - over 30- 35 daily so possibly too hot !
or October allure of the seas - west med - Rome, Naples, palma, Barcelona. Ship looks better , possibly less crowded as most in school but will it be too cold on the ship ? Rough seas ?
thank you

Weather is more unpredictable in October, but we did a cruise (Italy, Croatia, Greece) in late October a few years ago, and the weather was perfect. Warm weather (mid to high twenties), calm seas. Good temperatures for both sunbathing or walking round the destinations.

We’re currently on cruise that stopped at Barcelona, Cartagena and Malaga, and even though it’s December, the weather was warm (low twenties). So I’d definitely do an October med cruise again, although perhaps we’ve just been lucky with the weather each time

Thank you - I can cope with a little rain or cool weather - but I’m quite nervous about cruising having never cruised it’s more the effect of the weather on the ship that concerns me!

I guess that depends on whether you are affected by motion sickness. I’m useless on ferries and sailing boats, but on large cruise ships I’ve never had a problem. Yes, you can sometimes feel them move a bit, but unless the sea is particularly rough, it’s fine. I always travel with seasickness medication just incase, but I’ve never needed it - even sailing in fairly high seas out of New York last winter.

That said, if you are someone who suffers from motion sickness, there are patches you can get on prescription before you travel that I’ve heard are very good

I'm fortunate in that I don't generally suffer from sea sickness, but was sick as the proverbial parrot on a swing boat at a well known theme park
