To think they should show ads from 1980 - 1986 for an entire month on ITV

The modern easily offended and easily hurt woke brigade would have a meltdown if they showed ads from back then

As a child of the 70s/80s I’d find it very interesting. Because ITV was deemed far too common to have on in our house when I was growing up. 😂

The adverts were far more innovative and interesting back in the 70’s/80’s. Lots of humour as well. Now it’s all really bad car adverts for very uninteresting bland cars, and betting companies. Plus the celebs coining it in with perfume adverts, over Xmas. Everything including the casting carefully controlled. Daytime TV is full of charities and aids for getting old but keeping going. If you catch one, you have basically seen them all. Rare for a good advert to be aired nowadays.

Love it! I fear gen z and the millennials would need to reach for the smelling salt!

Nah, I’m a millennial and I’d welcome this!
Especially the Birdseye potato waffles “they’re waffly versatile” one

Were you truly wafted here from paradise?
Nahh, Luton Airport!

Campari. I always thought it was like Martini or Cinzano. It was an unpleasant surprise when I finally tasted it and realised it was much more bitter. Good advert, though.

Also: Gold Blend couple. Gone are the days when your choice of instant coffee showed how sophisticated you were!

I loved all the Heineken ones that were so clever but my favourite was a very niche YellowPages one made, I think, just for Xmas Day..... family in sitting room, TV goes funny, Dad says "pass me the YP please" daughter says "Dad it's Xmas you'll never get anyone out today!!" Dad smiles knowingly and....whacks the telly with the YellowPages book, telly comes back on fine cue the strap line..." Good old YellowPages!" 😁
