Hiya,

so I am skint til the 6th & don’t have a single penny to my name I’m overdrawn by £30 and am making do with stuff that’s in. There’s very random bits like cheese, fish fingers, tinned food etc does anyone have any ideas for a broke meal at home? Can’t make cheese on toast as no loaf of bread :((
thank you xxxx

food bank - not all are referrals, my local church does one along with a drop in breakfast morning for advice on money/food etc
community fridge
community supermarket - we have a few of these, super cheap food for a few pounds.
any points on cards, vouchers etc
also you can do an anonymous post on a local Facebook group for specific local advice.

First thing on your list if you can borrow money is porridge oats and milk. Very cheap but filling.

Lots of people wasting their time here - if OP wanted meal ideas she would have posted a list of what she has...

It seems that way but I would bet that the advice has been useful to others where things are tight.

I think the fried potato cubes with bacon sound delicious!

Sounds incredibly hard and stressful

Things like pasta are fine with a bit of olive oil. If you have any frozen veg add that in towards the end of the pasta cooking time. Can throw some ketchup or mayonnaise over the top for extra flavour if you don't have enough cheese.

Alternatively seek out your local community bank you might be able to pick up some fresh stuff for pennies which will help with what you have in the cupboards.
