Moana 2

BeatsAntique · 30/11/2024 02:57

Wicked would suit both. Not too kiddy but kid friendly.

jakesmommy · 30/11/2024 03:00

Wicked

Ted27 · 30/11/2024 03:05

I've seen Paddington in Peru, Moans and Red One with my 11 year old in the last week or so.

User964253 · 30/11/2024 03:06

Is wicked not just half of the story though? I haven’t seen it yet (but have seen the stage production). It sounds like an odd way to do it

Thunderpants88 · 30/11/2024 03:13

Wild robot. My. 20+ bro cried

Danikm151 · 30/11/2024 03:15

@User964253 yes it’s basically the first act of the musical but 2 hours 4 minutes! It is brilliant tbf Imm looking forward to part 2.

@FunNewt a 10 year old can watch a 12a as you will be with them but for neutral between both Wild Robot or Paddington

LilacLilyBird · 30/11/2024 04:17

Paddington in Peru
Wicked
Moana 2

Tamuchly · 30/11/2024 05:25

Wild Robot is a great film - I took a 16yr old boy and 2 11 yr old girls and we all loved it.

vickibee · 30/11/2024 05:38

Paddington

TipsyKoala · 30/11/2024 06:39

Paddington or Wild Robot. Both Great and have appeal for all ages. Probably not Wicked. I’ve seen all 3 with my boy and girl.

Arthurrat · 30/11/2024 07:51

I took my 16, 14 year old sons and 10 year old daughter to paddington the other week. Went down well with them all.
The children in the film are teenage!

I could take them to see Paddington

Is Red One still on? That would suit both and it's Christmassy!

It is - basically Act 1 of the theatre. However it is in much more detail which is why it is also so long. Yes at the end we left wanting the second half but it is still a brilliant movie.

OP in your situation I would do Wicked or Moana 2.

TheNinny · 30/11/2024 08:39

Wild robot -
my 5 yrs DC and 10 yr old we went with loved it

monkeysox · 30/11/2024 08:41

A 12A rating means that the film is suitable for viewers aged 12 and over, but that younger children can also watch if accompanied by an adult.

Might give you more choices.

Never seen Lord of the Rings?!

Tacocatgoatcheesepizza · 30/11/2024 08:47

We have recently watched Red One and Wicked with my 13 and 10 year old ds’s and they’ve enjoyed both of them. We’re off to watch Moana tomorrow.

You must like the cinema then

I've seen most of the films mentioned and think Wicked is the better choice.

Not really the same

Lord of the Rings is 3 films for 3 books

It's more like when they split the last Harry Potter and Twilight books or how they inexplicably made The Hobbit into 3 films

comedycentral · 30/11/2024 09:04

I was going to say Red One, but I don’t even know if it’s out yet. I think Paddington looks good. Everyone is also going mad for Wicked, so there are a few choices!

jkshdqpr · 30/11/2024 09:06

@MartinCrieffsLemon it was very much "to be continued" you don't get the full story in film one. My point, as you've addressed, is that it's not unusual at all.
