Help with curling my hair

Hello113 · 28/11/2024 22:29

I have the cloud 9 curlers and I'd like to curl my hair for my work do but I dont really know how to do it. Is it best to do it on hair that's not freshly washed? I really dislike the way I look at the moment so it would be nice to feel like I looked okay for a night.

Why don’t you get it done at the hairdressers and watch how they do it? Or watch lots of YouTube tutorials.

I have never been able to do it myself with curlers tbh! Other than the ones that suck up your hair automatically and curl it. I have also been messing with heatless curls too.

good luck! I hope you figure something out and I’m sure you look beautiful anyway.

Cloud 9 curlers - is it a curling iron, or is it some other kind of curlers?

My hair does not stay curly if I curl it with a hair curler/curling iron.
My hair is quite thick.
When I want curly hair, I wash my hair, let it dry a to halfway dry, then I roll it on soft hair rollers (don't know what they are called, those long ones that are soft on the outside). Then I sleep with them in the hair.
Then I unroll them, and style my hair the best I can (which is not very well, haha).

Perhaps you will need some hair styling product in your hair, when you curl it, to make it stay curly?

I hope there will be someone here that can give you good advice!
Good luck!

You can do it on the hair that is freshly washed but you need to use some product. It's best done the day after a wash. Easier to handle and better hold.

The best thing I have found for my hair is I think its called the Babyliss Curling Wand - I've had it quite a few years but its really good. I do have thick hair so it takes a bit of time, but its worth it. I wash it (no conditioner), then blow dry upside down, then section my hair, starting underneath and take small sections and wrap round the wand then hold for about 10 - 15 seconds, then release. Once its all done and cooled I just rake my hands through it a bit and it looks lovely.

You’ll need some hairspray to hold the curl
