To feel weird about sort of liking doing Elf on the shelf

Do you like doing it, if you do it?

Part of me thinks, oh ffs, then the other half of me gets excited like a cheesy kid. I don’t post anything about it as feel embarrassed as most people slag it off
I feel we’re not really allowed to admit we might like doing these kinds of things for our kids

I loved it when my kids were little. They are teenagers now so the elves are (mainly 😜) just decorative but I still feel excited when I get them out and put them on their shelf! And I will do one or two silly things with them, mainly for the eyerolls from the teens 😁

Life is full of shit and hard work, we gotta find the Joy where it works for us. Sod what other people think!

Our Elves bring us a present every Christmas eve too. My 19 year old text me from uni yesterday asking if the elves are likely to be buying PJs this year as he needs new ones 😂
