Candle for someone with allergies

Really want to have a candlelit bath but struggle with heavily scented candles (asthma and vaious allergies).

Can anyone recommend one? Soy perhaps?

Pure beeswax has a lovely natural scent and might work.

Valentte candles don't irritate me

roastiepotato · 18/11/2024 20:57

In all honesty I just wouldn't. Could you get one of those battery ones?

T4phage · 18/11/2024 21:01

Just get unscented candles or tealights.

Milly2022 · 18/11/2024 21:20

Unscented soy or beeswax will do the trick.

Beeswax.

PastaAndChill · 18/11/2024 21:25

Any normal candles! Just don't buy scented ones!

Normal candles are made with crude oil byproducts. Not good for anyone to breathe in but certainly not for allergy sufferers or asthmatics.

A plain candle in one of those glass cages gives a nice light without too many fumes. Can't stand the scented ones, they give me a sore throat. Enjoy your soak.

She only said she has issues with heavily scented ones.

@PastaAndChill

She also mentioned soy as an alternative.

Beeswax is very clean and I would recommend it to everyone a million times over. I don't want to breathe in the crude oil crap that most candies are made from.
