Should Gov step up employment control?

We have rules about employment and advertising of employment.
Eg - cannot discriminate unless genuine occupational requirement.
Or you cannot call yourself x unless professionally qualified.

Should there be similar rules where it comes to advertisement of roles such as:
WhatI am talking about are jobs like: Entry levelT, rainee, jobs that do NOT need uni

For example :
Entry level admin

  • 3 years experience required
🙄

Trainee restaurant manager

  • 5 years of restaurant mangement role experience required

Office admin - NMW (or close)

  • Bachelors in business or similar required

Yanbu:yes, it is not right

Yabu: it's fine as it is

It's not fine, I agree but I can't see what the government can do about it. As a graduate, I wouldn't be applying for these jobs no matter how educated they want me to be. It's not reflected in their pay offer and I can do better elsewhere. So, with any luck, these posts will remain vacant until the employer lowers their expectations.

I agree it's ridiculous, once I graduated I couldn't get a job anywhere because I had no experience. Even though I was educated and ready to train professionally I had to work for free to get experience in three different places before anyone would employ me. It's insane.

Even though I've been in my field for 10 years and am ready to start trying something new in related fields, no one is interested because I'm not experienced in that field specifically. Moving up doesn't seem much of an option either because any management post that opens up is advertised for experienced managers to apply.

I don't think the government can do anything about though unfortunately.
