My sons get bored at home and I can’t find somewhere to take them that they both like my 12 year old son play’s basketball and is good at swimming and football my 8 year old son likes ninja turtles and toys my 12 year old thinks that his brother likes baby stuff for his age so it’s hard to find something they both like to do together even at home we find it hard to find something they both like

I have similar age gap with my boys.

Swimming and trampoline park are popular here.

OneRubyExpert · 16/11/2024 19:54

When we go cinema we don’t go all together because they like different stuff

trampoline park? bowling?

Fireworknight · 16/11/2024 19:55

Where about are you?

CC222 · 16/11/2024 19:55

Depends what's available where you live and your budget...
Cinema, bowling, crazy golf, forest walks, fishing, geocaching, coach trips for a day out to cities near by..
Is it just a random family day out you want to cater for or something regular? Maybe a class together like karate etc

OneRubyExpert · 16/11/2024 19:55

Swimming we go at times not all the time because my 8 year old son can’t swim me and my 12 year old son are good at swimming

I have that age gap but mine are younger. Trampolining is pretty much the only thing mine agree on! They do like outdoor stuff (if you’re anywhere near Norfolk/East Anglia, have a look at Bewilderwood or High Lodge near Thetford, the second one is a Forestry England place, which we really like). Can they ride bikes?

Anything with inflatables is also a hit.

FadedRed · 16/11/2024 20:07

Golf, driving range golf, archery, skating, ice skating, skateboarding, bmx, skiing/snowboarding, snow tubing, astronomy, photography, pottery, woodworking…
Depends how deep your pockets are really.

There seems to be a lot of things your 8 year old can't do. Assuming he isn't disabled, spend some time together teaching him how to ride a bike and swim - the normal things. Involve your older one when teaching him
