to ask you to help me find this film

Once in a while I come on here and ask the same question...
I have a really strong and lovely memory of watching this film when I was a kid with my mum. It was black and white and looked a bit like abbot and costello style screwball comedy.
A family moved into a house, it was haunted by a ghost or several ghosts.
The ending saw the family drive off down the road after selling the house, unbeknownst to them, the ghosts were all sitting on the back of their old fashioned car (1930s style car with no roof and a suitcase on the back) they were facing away from the driver and looking at the camera , Then 'The End' in swirly writing came on.
It looked to be similar vintage to Abbot and Costello. I would have been watching this in about 1984 and it was old then.
It definitely isn't The Ghost and Mrs Muir. I have seen that and know it well.
I'd love to find it. Anyone recognise it?

This reminds me a bit of the original Beetlejuice?

Are you sure it's a film? Could it be the Munsters tv show?

Definitely not the Munsters.

Do you remember if it is British or American? (or anything else.) Is it definitely a full length film rather than an anthology?

I guess it could be an anthology one. There was a Topper TV series apparently

Argh I’m absolutely sure I’ve seen (and quite possibly own) this film but I can’t for the life of me remember what it is! If no one else gets it, I can do through my DVD film collection when I get a chance and let you know if I find it.

No this is too modern. It was definitely more in the abbot snd costello age

That would be awesome, this is the closest I've ever got to finding it, no one else has ever even remembered it
