A bit light hearted so please don’t get too offended 😂

my dh is sick - headache, fluey.. so am I but I’m just getting on with it… I’m also 38 weeks pregnant 😂
our DS had it first and passed it on.

it REALLY annoys me when he’s not well - he just becomes a moaning grumpy floppy person. 😂
surely it’s not just me who gets annoyed? 🤣

Nothing funnier than misandry

Not ‘men’, the man you’re with. They’re not homogenous.

🥴 I literally started the post as “a bit light hearted” but go ahead and be offended. 😑

Yep my husband loves to mope around when ill, like he has it 10 times worst. Mums just have to get on with life.

AttachmentFTW · 14/11/2024 14:42

It is also my experience that my partner seems to find illness, especially colds, much harder to cope with than I do. However, he does seem to have a ridiculously high pain threshold. I have read that women tend to have a more responsive immune system, so are perhaps physically better at responding to illness than men. The drawback is that women are much more likely to be diagnosed with auto immune conditions.

Well mine dons the dressing gown of doom, walks around saying 'I'm fine' in a small voice, takes forever to answer a simple question and is generally very irritating when ill. Even his mother, who loves him very much, says the same. I get a sympathy text from her when he's ill.

I have to admit it's the other way round in our house. Soon to be hubby had a bug on Tuesday. He moped about then but was fine within 24 hours.

I started with it yesterday and have vomited every time I've moved. Literally not got out of bed for 2 days so far. He's downstairs picking up the slack.

DH and I were both ill end of last week and beginning of this week. He was far too ill to do school run, cook or do anything else really. When I told him it was his turn to bath DS he looked pained and said "but I'm not well."
DH is loads better now and can't understand why I'm still suffering (could it be because I didn't spend the best part of a week lying on the sofa wearing the dressing gown of doom).
