To feel that people who constantly travel are just running from their problems?

Frequent travellers act as if they’re enlightened, but is it just escapism? AIBU to think it’s more about avoiding real-life issues?

No. It's just enjoying life and making the most of it.

I agree OP. The type of traveller/holiday maker I think you’re talking about is always chasing the high of a new place, a new adventure. I do know ppl who are constantly going away - not usual holidays, but chaining together many luxury holidays back to back. I love to travel, but that would be too exhausting for me. Dopamine Nation is an interesting book which covers this kind of thing.

I'm one of those people who travel all the time.

I'm not escaping anything. I like being home and spending time with loved ones.

But equally I love travelling and think it perhaps stems from the fact that my parents hadn't ever left their home country and I always thought that was very boring!

I think people travel because they can. I travel as much as I can and my life’s pretty great, I’ve not got anything to escape from
