I think any woman who has battled to get HRT from their doctor (of either sex, men aren't the only ones who are hopeless) will know that so many of us with no history of anxiety or depression are regualrly fobbed off with anti depressants when we need HRT.

I don't think it's a "man not knowing what he's talking about" thing, I think it's a "ill-educated medical professional not knowing the guidelines and not listening to patients" thing.

Very poor experience with 2 x female and 1 x male GPs, better experience with 4th male GP.

It's a perfectly fair and nuanced article that is in no way "anti" HRT. Max Pemberton may be a "Daily Mail doctor" (as was Michael Mosley, who everyone seems to love) but IS a qualifed doctor and a psychiatrist who took to journalism to fund his way through medical school.

I'm post menopausal BTW.
