To want to chop off my unsightly nose

This mole developed at the end of my nose about 10 years ago. I‘ve been to the doctor, they said it wasn’t cancerous. It got worse with each pregnancy (3). Growth hormones apparently. Doctor was very unsympathetic when I said it is destroying my confidence.

Has anyone had anything similar? Can it be removed without making my face look worse? From one side you can see how it distorts the shape of my nose.

I feel like it is all people see when they look at me.

The default on MN is to deny anything that the OP feels or sees and it's really very easy to see if you look. We all know that we focus on things we don't like about ourselves and there's nothing more irritating than people saying there's nothing there. Remember your mum saying she couldn't see your spot when you were a teenager? That's what it's like. If the OP doesn't like it, why not have it removed and I wasn't being a bitch about shaping, if you are going to get surgery you may as well go for it. As we age, noses do get bigger and the shape changes, I was lucky that after so many riding accidents my septum was deviated and the insurance covered the surgery, I was delighted when they told me they had reshaped whilst removing the deviation. It's nothing to be ashamed or embarrassed about, it's just an operation. I know many posters like to maintain they never look in a mirror or care about their appearance and that's great for them, I am not one of those and that's not abnormal either.
