Does teething cause a raised temperature in babies?

Hi,

I think my DD (11 months) is getting her two top front teeth. She's been quite irritable, had some explosive nappies etc and I think I can see two teeth pushing out.

However, she seems to have a slightly raised temp (37/37.1 degrees) is this normal?

The NHS guidelines don't state much about raised temp.

Thanks

Yup, totally normal

Totally normal. Just keep feeding her calpol for the next 2 years

It's normal. It happened to all three of mine. Infant paracetamol sorted it.

Yes - completely normal

Thanks. It's not really doing anything when I give her Calpol to bring her temp down (currently 38) what else should I give her?

I always found ibuprofen better for a fever with mine. I would alternate between the two.
