She's in a controlling relationship. Which she did break off 6 weeks ago but has agreed to see her once a week (F - F relationship) b

I usually see my friend often. We had plans tonight to attend another friends party together. I walked to hers an hour before the party with a bottle of wine to share. We went to the party together...

11pm I got up and said "popping for a wee"

When I came back she'd left. I was told the "partners" car was in the car park, she had obviously been told it was time to go. She said goodbye to everyone around us but didn't tell me she was going. So I came out of the toilet and she was no where to be found. We were meant to be walking back together.

I'm pissed off she left without telling me tbh. I don't care about walking home by myself. It's not far. It's a safe village but she would never have done that before this "partner"

I text her asking if she'd gone. She apparently tried to look for me. In the one room, small pub. But decided not to wait one min and leave anyway.

I'm annoyed. She's being controlled and I almost sent her a message saying "blablah obviously said it was time for you to go home"

I haven't. I'm trying not to be annoyed with her. But it's frustrating she can't see her. Her family won't have anything to do with this partner. Her own kids don't like the partner, it's all very odd. They've only been together a few months..

It's very hard for me to not tell her what I think...

You can tell her what you think but it's unlikely to make any difference at the moment, if your friend is in that deep. I'd keep your opinion of her relationship to yourself.

You can however get absolutely pissed at the fact she chose the moment you went to the loo to leave. I would.

As I'm typing that though, I'm wondering if she did it at that moment because she felt embarrassed, because she was seemingly told to leave..?
