LEGOLAND reserve & ride

Taking the kids next week - is paying for “reserve & ride” worth it for an extra £30? They are lower primary age and under, so I don’t know how much they will even want to go on - I’m a complete theme park novice so advice appreciated

As far as I’m aware schools will be back next week so it ought to be pretty quiet. I wouldn’t pay up front, can you add it on if you feel you need to on the day?

My instinct says rip off but I’ll admit I don’t know enough about it

I’m honestly not sure - tickets are a lot cheaper if you pre book so assumed this was the same

Ours are teens now but I used to take them in term time on inset days and never paid any extra for this. It was just not busy enough.

IMO Legoland is the busiest of all the theme parks.
wev been termtime midweek and it’s still packed.
If their Halloween celebrations have finished then it might be quieter than normal but if it’s dragging on until after Bonfire then I would def think about paying up.

I'm always torn when we go and never have as like you I feel rather ripped off.
They are really bad at letting the non fast pass queue on certain rides move though.
Laser raiders is really bad - stood for over half an hour without moving a step because they prioritise the fast pass queue.
The dragon ride can feel similar as it seems to be 70% fastpass 30% normal queue
I live fairly close ( < 30 mins away) and monday is still half term. For some Tues is an inset.

I was there on Monday with a 6 and a 4 year old! It was very busy but there was so much to do - particularly if they are little and not super fussed about going on the really big rides. We didn't pay for reserve and ride but had a lovely day and didn't feel like any queueing was excessive, even though it was half term week.

Musicofthespiers · 31/10/2024 16:03

I'd just add it on the day if you feel it is necessary, depending on how busy it is. On really busy days I wouldn't be without it but I imagine next week won't be too bad.

It’s for really little kids. A 7YO could probably go on everything and an average height 3YO still the majority of stuff. So don’t be fooled by thinking because the kids are young their rides will be quiet because older kids will be elsewhere. They won’t be. Also, don’t be fooled by thinking it will be quiet because it’s not main school holidays- we’ve done that and still bloody heaving. You can buy it on the day though- usually they sell out of the premium ones but the basic one has always been available. It doesn’t speed up the wait time but you don’t have to stand in the queue whilst it counts down so you can use that time to do the smaller rides, playgrounds, shows, snack break etc. and it works quite nicely. Oh and I’d recommend bringing your own lunch because not even a cost thing, the food there is just complete shit.

We went! Didn’t do reserve and ride, most lines were about 45 minutes which was manageable.

The kids had a great time but honestly I wouldn’t be rushing there again
