Ye iv had to have quite a few out because my mother had to have medical treatment while pregnant which affected the enamel on my teeth (don’t ask what as I don’t know all the details except that it was treatment for cancer)
so I had to have a lot of teeth out growing up
as an adult iv had several back molars out and due another one out next month after a few appointments that has ended in a failed root canal.
none of them have been replaced. Either not an option or not had the money etc.
It’s tender for a while especially straight after but eventually the gums toughen up and eating is absolutely not an issue. The areas that are without a tooth work exactly the same as if a tooth was there.
if you look at me from the outside no one would know! smile is unaffected and cheeks have not despite the lack of some teeth sunken.
i have been lucky enough that my smile is safe and the small molars next to the incisors are so far safe. So that helps as it isn’t noticeable in conversations or smiling etc
my advice is do everything you can to save the smile but don’t feel disheartened if you need a few molars out over the years because it’s fine honestly and doesn’t really affect life too much long term.
obviously I’m not saying it doesn’t matter, we only get one set but at the same time it’s not the end of the world either @Overkastkid
