Has anyone ever been offered a job with St. mungos if so how long did HR take to contact you.

I've not been offered one, sadly I'm a muggle!

Hi I omitted a 1 month job that I had in 2022 on my application form as I thought it was too short. I have now been given a conditional offer. They have said in my offer letter that HMRC May be contacted to confirm work history. I then sent an email to HR to say that I left my last job off due to length of time served. Can they rescind the job offer because of this. Wonder if anyone has experienced this.

Technically yes they can withdraw the offer because you have lied to them. That doesn't mean they will as it sounds like a genuine mistake and just a bit of naivety but it's a possibility. For future reference, it was a really stupid thing to do as it makes you look like you're trying to hide something, (why was it so short?!), but most importantly, you will be working with vulnerable people, they need to do their safeguarding checks which includes a full employment record. Any not-for-profit, public sector or commercial business which deals with children or vulnerable people should meticulously check your employment record for safeguarding reasons.

Not worked with them personally.
Potentially employers could / can withdraw job offers, but I would have thought in this case, rather than rescinding the offer, if they had any concerns as to why it was only a month they would have one of the interviewers contact you and ask. I'm guessing the conditional part was depending on references? Therefore they are probably waiting to hear from your referees. And possibly waiting for your DBS check if you'll be working directly with clients. In which case it takes a bit of time getting the paperwork back. Did they give you any idea of how long it would be or an estimated start date? You could give HR a ring on Monday and ask for a potential start date.

I am well aware of that. I do not have to tell you why it was so short only prospective employers. I have also worked with vulnerable people since leaving university for over 20 years but thanks for your input
