DGD (4 years) is in hospital for two weeks. She has a long line in (picc?).

Last Friday a nurse was doing a procedure and DGD was frightened, upset, crying. The nurse said sharply - don't you shout at me! I haven't even touched you! My daughter said the nurse had no patience (no pun intended) and was 'rough' in her handling of DGD. It resulted in DGD becoming inconsolable.

My daughter told me and said 'I will never forget that as long as I live.'

It's upset all the family.

This nurse is DGD's assigned nurse today. By coincidence, I'm visiting this morning.

Have I to say something?

It sounds like you weren't there and didn't witness anything? If that's the case, then no, you shouldn't say anything. If your daughter wishes to make a complaint based on what she saw, then that's her prerogative.

My Mil and fil were there - neither of them slept that night for worrying about it.
