to hate my husband when I'm on my period?

Obviously I'm not being reasonable but does anyone else experience this?

I get so angry when I'm on / due on. Everything H does winds me up, I honestly come close to asking for divorce every time and then when it's over we are fine again.

It’s a known established fact in our house. I’m very irritated and emotional the evening before, can’t say that I hate my DH but I’m in a very quarrelling mood and tend to cry. Add the full moon to the mix and it’s a hell house.
Im back to nice me the minute the period started.

I have PMDD and it is ruining my life. And yes, I am feeling hormonal right now. Glad it's funny to you though

The original post is not about PMDD, the poster who made the joke was not joking about PMDD. They made a joke comment which some did find funny because it’s very obvious it was a joke and she would not shove a baseball bat up her DHs arse! I can tell as you say you are very hormonal right now by your response to all the posters on here.

It was supposed to be a joke, but I guess humour isn't allowed these days.

I laughed!

I thought it was a well known thing that the type of man a woman finds attractive varies with where she is in her cycle?

When she isn't ovulating, a chiseled jaw, and broad shoulders are appealing, however when ovulating, an axe in the forehead and a baseball bat shoved up his arse will do.

😂 If I’d been drinking tea I’d have spluttered it out.

Yes, I’m horrible. Feel really angry with everyone. It’s so hard to deal with and for my partner too , I have to plan events to try avoid the days before I’m due. Also I get very tired and sleep / eat loads

Comingupriver · 24/10/2024 21:40

A hormonal coil has helped me enormously.

Orchidzombiewatch · 24/10/2024 21:40

I feel much more ‘divorcy’ just before my period. I could quite happily pack a bag and just drive. Anywhere.

I can see the funny side but also it’s not easy. I have to make a note of how I feel when I’m in a more settled phase to check out whether to listen to how I feel or not.

Turns out I still feel divorcy, just less acutely.

Yes. I wish I could just be on an island at those times. If I can I avoid all human interaction. Sadly that’s hard to do.

I feel you OP. In the week leading up to my period, I ruminate over all OH’s tiny annoyances and decide I’m going to leave him. I exercise hard and snarl a lot. My colleagues are all total fuckwits. Once I actually realise why I’m feeling so angry, I WFH until my period starts. I thought it was bog standard PMT, hadn’t heard of PPMD
