To think DD’s friend was? Re limo

So my daughter turned 18 and as a joke on theme we got a limo to take her and her friends from our house into the city centre (yes it’s tacky but who cares).

It was her main group of friends from school and a childhood best friend and her friend we’ll call Hannah - neither group know each other. In the limo on the way there Hannah asked the limo to stop outside Tesco so she could get more drink, DD found this hilarious.

However, one of her group of friends, kind of the Queen Bee started saying loudly how rude it was of Hannah. To the point she made both the childhood best friend and Hannah leave after going to the first bar because they felt so uncomfortable.

I don't understand.

It can’t have been that long a drive to town. Did she really need to stop to get more booze to drink in the limo? She couldn’t wait. I’d find that a bit odd when you’ve hired the limo to take them out to a bar.
It’s not exactly rude though, and the other girl should probably have kept her mouth shut. It is a bit odd that Hannah couldn’t just wait until they got to town for a drink in a bar.

Just sounds like teens being teens, and neither of them come off very well. The other girls shouldn’t have gone home either. Your daughter maybe should have told loud mouth to button it and told the other girls to just stay and enjoy the birthday night.

When it's someones birthday (especially a big birthday like 18) you never do anything to upset the birthday person or ruin their day.

The queen bee girl should have kept her mouth shut - it wasn't her birthday or limo.

Personally I would also find it a bit rude for her to ask to stop at Tesco. I assume you were paying the driver to take them from point A to point B and not to be faffing about trying to park a limo for someone to get more booze on their way to the bar.

Honestly, is sounds like your daughter needs to develop a bit of a backbone. She could have easily told the friend who was complaining to drop the topic and tell Hannah to forget about it.
