5mo growing out of ‘next to me’, own bed?

My DD is quite long for her age (67cm last I checked!) takes after he tall daddy…
I’m thinking an early transition to her cot and own room?

I didn’t transition my DS until her was over 7mo, so a little unsure!

Any experience?

I did this with DD about that age. I was happy to do so with a baby monitor but I know official advice is 6 months+

I moved mine to her own bed and cot around 6 maybe nearly 7 months. She was way to big for the next to me.
I found it really hard tbh I wanted to put her cot in our room but it wouldn't fit.
But it really was the best thing, she slept so much better, I should have done it sooner honestly!

I put both my girls in a travel cot in our room until I was ready to move them to their own room at 12 months.

If you can't fit her cot in your room, could you temporarily have a bed or even just a mattress on her nursery floor? I would still want to be in the same room with that small a baby. I co-slept for an inordinate amount of time though, and still usually wake up with a four year old's elbow in my chin so I may not be the role model anyone wants...

Thanks all,
I have no issue with her getting used to her own surroundings, as I did with my DS I just went in whenever he needed me… Tended to be 3/4 times a night at first 🫠 & I did sleep on his floor a short while, as he started to try sleep on his front, which tends to terrify every parent including myself.

I’d Just like her comfy, just as @1bub1pup wishes they’d made the transition sooner… I’m wondering whether it just maybe better for her as she’s a tall lil’ one (Size of a 7mo averagely).
She’s have a camera on her and such, I guess I’m a little hesitant only because I’m also trying to get her out of being used to having her arms in sleeping bag (swaddle-ish) so maybe too many changes may not be best.

We did own cot own room from just over 5m. Both were in sleep bags at this point so with an additional monitor I felt comfortable they were sufficiently safe.

Is there room in your bedroom for a larger cotbed?

When ours got too big for the nexttome we got a cotbed that had a slide-underneath 4th side so that the toddler could have the 4th side up when napping during the day and at night we would remove the 4th side and strap the cotbed firmly next to our bed. Unfortunately these kinds of cots aren't available any more, but you can get ones that are permanently 3-sided here:

Dd was in her own room at 7 days because she had to be. We all survived.
