A woman shouldn't be leader of the Opposition because she has young children

According to Sir Christopher Chope, 77, Ms Badenoch should not be Tory leader as she has young children.

Is he a dinosaur? Vote YANBU if you think he is.

I’d say Chope and Badenoch are very similar. Like being contentious, gets them attention. Quite funny really and since he’s just survived an election then obviously has quite a lot of support.

An especially stupid point as Robert Jenrick also has three kids... maybe children only make women inappropriate candidates, who knows!

I think Kemi Badenoch will be a disastrous leader of the opposition as she is incompetent, but it’s nothing to do with having children.

Whatever you think, Chope is not a stupid man and I find faintly ironic that Kemi Badenoch, who is often going on about cuts to child care provision or maternity pay should be recast as a glorious maternal figure who cannot help but be distracted by her children. He is taking the piss out of her

Yes, the objectionable son of Jabba the Hut voted against making upskirting a crime. He then lied and claimed that he always voted against ten minute bills, before it came out that he'd voted for a number, brought by his chums.

He and Jenrick signed authorisations for each other, for funds for the poorest cities, which neither of them represent. Yes, they took away millions from a fund for the poorest areas in the country and spent it in their leafy areas.

I can think of many reasons why KB shouldn't be party leader but having young children certainly isn't one of them.

She'll do fine as Leader of the Opposition for bit. I recently heard that the Tories only now need 15 people to write of a letter to the 1922 committee to call for a chance so I suspect we will have new leaders every few months like they did in government.

I mean, it's a ridiculous thing to say.

The Tories seem to be falling over themselves to out-rightwing each other.

I'm hoping Kemi will be the next leader of Torys as I think she really understands the awful danger women's rights are currently in.
