To be sad if it did turn out that Lorraine Kelly was secretly mean

Few posts about celebrities and a few comments discussing how Lorraine Kelly can’t be as nice as she appears in real life and people don’t get that far in industry being nice.
I just think it would be disappointing if it was all fake.

I’ve definitely gone off her since all the TWaW stuff. When Kathleen Stock was on her show and LK kept bleating how she didn’t agree with her, I kept shouting at the telly, ‘so tell me Lorraine, why should male rapists go in women prison? Or Male paedophiles change their name and identity?’ Why did Kathleen Stock have to justify herself 🤷‍♀️

She's come into my place of work a couple of times. She's perfectly pleasant. Never rude or arrogant.

My DH has a job where he meets celebrities - has done for decades. He said of all the people he’s worked with over the years, the two most polite ones were Lorraine Kelly and Ian McKellen. Doesn’t necessarily mean that they are nice all the time - just that they were polite and respectful to the non-celebs/normal people (unlike many other celebrities)!

I am genuinely baffled how she got her job in the first place and how she keeps it. She is hardly ever there. Her show consists of her saying the same repeated phrases "It's a joy" being her all time favourite. It's always "amazing". She was vile over Caroline Flack when she was arrested. She is faker than fake.

I’d heard that she can be rude and dismissive. Also can’t watch her on TV. She just comes across as false - finds herself very amusing. She clearly thinks she’s hilarious, and she’s not. Similar to Alison Hammond.

Caroline Flack was an abuser. Men are treated badly in the media when stories of their abuse come out. Flack then killed herself… but she was an abuser and why do we have to fall over ourselves to “be kind” about her, an abuser.

Nobody is one dimensional. We all have our good points and bad points and good days and bad days. It’s ridiculous, the way we label famous people as nice or nasty or whatever and then get all discombobulated if they do a couple of things that don’t fit the stereotype. I expect she’s perfectly fine but not operating on an angelic plane.

From her tax case, she 'presents a persona' and is a 'performer'. One of many who like to pay minimal tax whilst having a go at others who they think pay insufficient tax.

I met her through a work and she was lovely. Afterwards I saw her being approached my some members of the public, one of whom was pretty cheeky to her, and she was still really pleasant and chatty, when she'd have been within her rights to tell him to piss off. I'm sure she has bad days but compared to other telly people I've met, she's a delight.

Anyone who believes TWAW
