To get really annoyed at being asked what I'm eating?

Every single time. "Ooh what's that?" "What are you making?" "What's in there?" AIBU to not want questions about what I'm eating from my DH all the time?

It seems like a minor thing to get annoyed about, and there is nothing in your posts to suggest he's after any of your food.

Perhaps it looks nice to him, so that he'd go and make some for himself.

You don't seem to like him either, as you've likened him to a dog and called him lazy.

See that's what annoys me I think. I've made it. I'm just settling down to eat it. And he clearly wants some. It's so off-putting.

If it's off-putting to you to share your meal or to answer a perfectly innocent question, I suggest you separate.

I get it. Many years ago I had an ex who would do the same because he was expecting me to give him some, and if I didn't want to share he would sulk. When we had dinner he would wolf his down and then sit staring at my plate in the hope I'd leave something. I couldn't put down my knife and fork without him asking if I was done with it. Then he'd go over to the pans/dishes/whatever the meal was cooked in and scrape them so he could get every last bit. It was like having dinner with a dog. Ugh.

Urgh I had one of them once. Maybe it was the same guy. Or maybe there's just a few of them. It's really off-putting.
