To have not reasoned how expensive travel within London is!

Niece started uni in London a few weeks ago and I offered to pay to keep her Oyster card topped up as my contribution.

However I have just discovered she has spent £27 on it from Monday to Thursday this week!!

I really want to be able to pay it for her, but it’s not sustainable for me to keep topping it up constantly.

I didn’t realise it was this much and thought there were daily caps on travel!

That equates to just over £6 a day. Surely £3 each way outside London on the bus isn’t abnormal?

For the love of god, read the thread! It's like cancel the cheque all over again.

It's been at least 3 weeks since TFL have had this message on their website 😔

@Motnight I know, it's coming up for a month now since the cyber attack, and so I am surprised that it's not more widely known about.

Mind you, if you looked at the social media accounts of the Mayor of London (who is in overall charge of TfL), you'd never know about it. It's almost like he's trying to brush it all under the carpet
