Would you do the same or should I just get on with it?

Had 2 wisdom teeth out yesterday and stage 1 of my root canal. I felt ok yesterday but obviously that was because I was numb! Woke up at 1 in the morning in excruciating throbbing pain in my jaw up to my head. I have 3 meetings today 1 is face to face (ending employment) for a long term sick employee so I can’t move this. Others can wait to next week!

Going to dose up for the first meeting then come home to bed and take rest day sick leave.

Does this sound sensible?

Yes! Hope you feel better, that sounds horrible.

Of course, if you can't work you can't work. But just to say ,usually when I've struggled to do bits of work when I've not been up to it it's often caused more complications . So generally I'm either in or not in.

Wisdom teeth removal is awful. I was off for a week as face was so swollen I couldn't talk properly. Dentist friend said she advised 7-10 days off work. I went back after a week but wasn't 100% You need to call in sick.

If you are in horrific pain you might have a dry socket infection. They are bloody agony. I’d check in with the dentist. If you’ve an infection it needs treatment and your meetings will have to wait. I had it once and was literally on the floor in agony, no way could I have gone anywhere but the dentist!

Yes I’m amazed you planned to go back to work the next day. I left it at least a few days.
