To think that adult participation in children’s activities should be minimal?

Some adults seem to take over children’s sports or school events. AIBU to think that they should let kids enjoy these events without adult interference?

Is this one of those nonsensical cryptic posts that have been so rife of late? Why are you even giving this headspace?

I guess it’s about being responsive to the children. If they aren’t seeking adult intervention then leave them to it. If they are then react to that.

It's horses for courses. Sometimes I play with my children, or help them with activities they couldn't manage on their own. At other times I leave them to get on with things for themselves. I feel like a balance is needed. All one or the other would be rather off, in either direction.

It obviously depends on the age of the children, the activity, their ability and if they need someone to play with.

for example, I run a children’s activity. We sometimes help them if need help…

What do you mean by adults taking over school events? Confused Do you mean parents attending them or teachers supervising them? Teachers kind of have to supervise them, you know. Baffling.
